311A Winter Fest. Early Bird Tickets Beg S'ch

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident between the last two fences involving Glen Kiln, ridden by B. Hayes, and Manoir De Mirande (FR), ridden by J.W. Kennedy, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. B. Hayes stated that he didn't have the horse to hold his position. J.W. Kennedy stated that he jumped the second last better and was clear of Glen Kiln when he moved over. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

311B O'Neills.com Irish EBF Beginners S'chase

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Straight John (FR), trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be clinically abnormal post race.

J.W. Kennedy, rider of Straight John (FR), trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.

A. Harvey, rider of Walks The Talk, trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left.

311C Malone Windows Supp Louth GAA H'cap S'ch

P.T. Enright, rider of Gatsby Grey (FR), trained by Oliver McKiernan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel. The IHRB Veterinary Officer examined Gatsby Grey post race and could find no evidence of blood at the nostrils. Subsequently, the trainer reported to the IHRB Veterinary Officer that the animal scoped clean post race.

311E Powerscreen New England H'cap H'dle

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident from the second last involving No Looking Back, ridden by P.T. Enright, and Might Be The One, ridden by D.J. O'Keeffe, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. P.T. Enright stated that he received minimal contact and kept a straight line. D.J. O'Keeffe stated that he angled out for a run as he felt there was sufficient room to do so. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found D.J. O'Keeffe was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered his clean record in this regard, the Raceday Stewards suspended him for two racedays.

311F Protection & Prosperity H'cap H'dle

Owing to low-lying sun, the Raceday Stewards granted permission for Hurdle four to be omitted from this race

D.J. O'Connor, rider of Fairy Meadow, trained by John Joseph Hanlon, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran too keen.

Josh Williamson, rider of Chesterbaylad, trained by Ms Helen P.Markham, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.

311G GavinLynchRacing (L P-A) INH Flat Race

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Ms M.A. McCarthy, rider of Gratitudeforgrace (FR), concerning her use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted she was in breach of the whip Regulation and apologised for her actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Ms M.A. McCarthy was in breach of R.10.3(b)(out of contention) and having considered her clean record in this regard, they suspended her for two racedays.

Anna McGuinness, rider of Gaelic Seer, trained by John E. & Thomas Kiely, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount raced keen early on.
